Land Rovers have been part of life for over 50 years and we have been using them, rebuilding, restoring and converting them for most of that time.
Our Camper Conversions are based on 26 + year experience of overlanding and camping in both Series and Defender Land Rovers. Dragging a 109' 2a Dormobile out of a hedge bottom in 2007 started our love affair with pop top converted Land Rovers and we were soon travelling Europe and North Africa. Learning to get the best out of the Land Rover started here.
We don't build our campers in the 'classic camper van layout' as experience has shown Defenders are just not big enough for that layout and far too much important space is wasted. Experience has proved our maximum storage layout may not look as pretty, but with this layout, you will have far more time to enjoy the extraordinary world all around the place you have chosen to camp.
We design and manufacture our own internal furniture, from high quality aluminium and stainless steel, to maximise the available space. We believe the outside of the vehicle is equally as important as the inside and manufacture a range of external expedition equipment to complete your build. Everything we manufacture is designed to be simple to use, designed to survive expedition use. To get wet, to get dirty and still function perfectly. We do not use any wood products in any of our furniture, as experience has shown it is too heavy, especially after absorbing moisture. We strongly recommend, the only wood you put in a Land Rover, is fire wood!
As mentioned above, we strongly believe the outside to be as important as the inside. To make the outside as comfy as possible, we make our own rear awnings and supply the best side awning. Our Explorer Rear Awning/Tent is ready to deploy as soon as you stop. It can provide an instant canopy for a quick lunch stop or a full privacy room, providing an extra weatherproof room, doubling the living space available.
Self supporting side awnings are very quick to deploy and especially useful when lone travelling. Used with the Explorer rear awning, they provide cover along the whole side of the vehicle and around the back. This is very similar to the popular 270 awnings, but allows greater flexibility in adverse weather. Our Explorer Rear Awning can be used in all but the most extreme weather conditions and can be erected on all surfaces, as it does not need to be pegged.
