Started in 2007 by Mick Outhwaite, L. R. Bits / Pennine Overland offers a variety of services including complete Defender overland camper builds, expedition equipment manufacture, overland trailers, restoration, and maintenance of both classic Defender and Series Land Rovers. Our skilled team utilizes innovative techniques and high-quality materials to ensure every project meets our exacting standards. We are passionate about what we do, and this is reflected in the meticulous craftsmanship of our products. From the smallest components to the most complex builds, every piece is designed to withstand the harshest conditions and provide reliable performance. Our expedition-grade equipment is rigorously tested on our own vehicles, ensuring it can endure the demands of overland travel.

As a family-run business, we value the relationships we build with our customers and partners. We collaborate with renowned specialists in Yorkshire and Lancashire to bring you the best of British engineering, blending tradition with innovation to create top-tier expedition equipment.

We take considerable pride in our craftsmanship and the quality of the products we create. Each piece is meticulously designed, ensuring it meets the high standards required for the harsh conditions of overland travel and expeditions. Our commitment to excellence is evident in every product, from the smallest components to the most complex builds.

Our commitment to excellence is also evident in our dedication to sustainable practices. We strive to minimize our environmental impact through efficient production methods and the use of specialist materials. By manufacturing our products locally, we support the UK economy and reduce our carbon footprint. Additionally, we are proud members of the "Made in Britain" campaign, which underscores our dedication to quality and sustainability.
